China: Research Fellowship Program in Materials Science and Engineering
Details The purpose of the fellowship is to provide opportunities for outstanding young scholars from all over the world to pursue high level research in areas of materials science and engineering at the SYNL and to foster the future academic head.
The SYNL is comprised of ten research divisions working in Non-equilibrium Metallic Materials, High-performance Ceramics, Advanced Carbons, Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, Microelectronic Interconnect Materials, Solid Atomic Imaging, Materials Fatigue and Fracture, Engineering Alloys, Materials Processing and Modeling, and Catalytic Materials, and a technical service division.
A prospective Fellow must have a doctorate completed less than three years prior to the date of application, under 35 years old, and will be required to conduct full-time research at the SYNL.
The Fellowship supports not more than three Fellows each year. Typically it is for a three-year duration with annual stipends and allowances for research costs. The deadline for application is April 30 or November 30 each year.
