Dear Sir/Madam,
I have got Bachelor degree in English language at College of Education /University of Baghdad /Iraq. Then I worked as a teacher of English language for more than 10 years at secondary schools in Baghdad. After that, I resumed my postgraduate study and got MA degree in Linguistics, the subject of my thesis was Conversation Analysis of Internet Relay Chat. I am presently working in Salahuddin University which is located north of Iraq at Kurdistan Region since 2006, as a lecturer for many majors such as grammar; phonology and phonetics and morphology.
I believe that I have the qualities to be a good researcher in case you will take a favorable decision regarding my admission to the Ph.D. program. I am a creative person and often think in a contemplative way about various issues of practical importance.
As internet has brought along its own language and culture; it has made new revolutions in communication, the diversity of research interests in the computational linguistics is of particular interest to me. The eminent faculty and the individualized nature of the doctoral program will definitely bring out the best in me. I would like to reiterate that I possess the background, the ability and the motivation to make a significant contribution to the computational linguistics. You know it is difficult to get an opportunity that realizes my goal, because of our country’s unstable situation for many decades ago.
I highly appreciate your supporting to make my great dream come true hoping to hear from you soon.
